RDP6: Simulation of the Biologics Production Process
Sometimes is difficult to estimate the influence of certain process parameters and process configurations experimentally, due to limited resources, difficulties with the accurate measurement of certain process variables, but especially due to the high interconnection of process parameters. To some extent these limitations can be overcome, by the derivation of a mechanistic mathematical model of the biologics production process that would be based on mass, energy, entropy and momentum balances, but also on technical features of the production process itself. The main objective of the project will therefore be to derive a realistic simulation of the integrated up-stream and down-stream processes.
