National Institute of Biology

The Department of Biotechnology and Systems Biology of the National Institute of Biology (Ljubljana, Slovenia) has fully equipped molecular biology laboratory, performing research activities in the fields of microbiology, biotechnology, quantitative and systems biology, biostatistics and bioinformatics. The department is well-versed in the analysis of high-throughput data, focusing mainly on the transcriptomics and metagenomic levels. It is also a member of several national core facilities and international infrastructure platforms for systems biology and bioinformatics and performs public service in the fields of GMOs and plant pathogenic microorganisms diagnostics.
